This
is one of the most interesting sales we have ever had and there are lots
of nice items, some need work but it will be well worth the repairs
needed for the quality of the antique items that are here.
Provenance:
Doris Sanford Jensen is a descendant of Thomas Sanford of
Bridgeport, Ct. who came to the United States from England in 1632, many
of the items in the home are from this historic family homestead, some
items are over 200 years old. Jack
Jensen was the son of Elmer Jensen who worked at the William LaBaron
Jenney architectural firm in Chicago and spent decades of his career
getting Jenney named the father of the sky scraper-he loved antiques and
purchased many nice things in his life that are being offered for the
first time to the public in over 100 years.
Doris
and Jack traveled around the world collecting interesting items during
their 60 plus years of marriage. They
were involved in numerous clubs and organizations in the South Haven
area through out their lives. We
have hundreds of things for sale in the house that they brought home
from their travels and furniture they purchased and lived with while
they raised their family.
